Hello, I’m Bia.
Strategic communicator on EU policy, based in Brussels.
I lead communications projects for organisations working on EU policy, with a focus on climate, energy, and counter-disinformation, including climate disinformation. I bring over a decade of experience across sectors, combining big-picture strategic thinking with the judgement and practical experience to lead your communications from planning through to delivery. I help you make a stronger case for policy change, earn media coverage that carries your message, and grow engaged social media audiences organically.

How I work
I turn policy priorities into a communications plan.
I get into the policy file and the political debate around it, then work out how to make the case to the people who can act on it.
The editorial decisions
I identify the audience, shape the argument, and choose where and when to put it forward. A briefing for policymakers and a story about household bills need different language. I make those decisions explicit in a plan with clear responsibilities and measures of success.
The work that follows
I lead delivery and produce the materials myself, from the copy and publication design to media pitches and event communications. I track how the work is received and use that evidence to adjust the approach. When the political conversation shifts, the communications need to keep up.
Services
What can I do for you?
I take on specific projects and ongoing communications roles.
Communications strategy and advice
I work out who you need to reach, what you need them to understand, and how to get there. That can mean a full communications plan or advice on a decision you’re weighing up.
Copywriting and editing
Policy explainers, opinion pieces, web copy, and publications. I write for the audience at hand, and edit technical material without losing what matters.
Graphic and publication design
I create visual identities and design reports, campaign materials, and graphics for digital and print. The work includes layout, typography, and data visualisation.
Social media and organic growth
I plan and run social content, then use analytics to see what reaches people and what needs to change. I also develop newsletters and improve website content and structure.
Media and public positioning
I develop press materials, prepare spokespeople, and pitch stories with the news and political context in mind. I also write opinion pieces and shape policy arguments for wider audiences, helping your organisation make its case in the public debate.
Events and programme delivery
I plan and deliver European Parliament and Commission events, including EUSEW with CHC, and the European Startup Prize’s cohort tour. I manage programmes, speakers, logistics, and communications for these projects, standalone events, and conference side events.
Trainings
I develop tailored trainings around my areas of expertise, adapting each session to the people in the room.
- Posting with Purpose
- Organic social media growth, best practices, and communicating with a clear purpose.
- Communicating with Clarity
- How to build communications strategies that last and make an impact.
- Decoding Disinformation
- Understanding disinformation and the role of strategic communications.
In collaboration with leading researchers and OSINT practitioners, I offer tailored trainings on the underlying mechanics of disinformation and how strategic communications fits into a wider whole-of-society response, including in climate and energy debates.
Developed on request with specialist collaborators.
